PAID MEDIA / ZERODARK INSIGHTS

What a Paid Media Score Can and Cannot Tell You

Use the score to identify the underlying KPI gap and then inspect campaign evidence.

The category score is a starting point for diagnosis

Use the score to identify the underlying KPI gap and then inspect campaign evidence. A summary cannot establish profitability without valid downstream sales and cost records.

A Paid Media score summarizes selected eligible KPIs against a rubric. It cannot establish every aspect of profitability, creative quality or future market demand. Inspect the inputs and their definitions before choosing work.

A worked example

A hypothetical category improves after cost per verified lead falls. That is useful evidence, yet lead suitability and later sales outcomes may still need separate review. A score change caused by repaired data coverage also deserves a different explanation from a real campaign gain.

How to apply it

  • Check period, source coverage and the KPI target configuration.
  • Trace material score movements to the supported underlying measures.
  • Choose actions that improve the actual campaign or inquiry process.

What the result can establish

SharkBlade’s category and Intelligence views should use the same current assessment. A score is not a promise of future leads or revenue. Keep missing downstream data visible in the interpretation rather than filling it with assumptions.
