Improve the underlying journey, then observe the assessment
Optimize the underlying visitor experience and verify the relevant actions before interpreting the score. Changing a scoring target can change the displayed assessment without repairing the website journey.
A performance score summarizes a defined rubric. Optimizing a metric merely because it contributes to a score can miss the business objective. Start with a diagnosed problem in collection, usability or inquiry quality.
A worked example
A hypothetical team increases low-value interaction events to raise apparent engagement while the contact form remains unreliable. The dashboard may look busier without improving the prospect journey. Repairing and verifying the form is a more defensible priority.
How to apply it
- Read the eligible KPI definitions and the actual target configuration.
- Choose an action that improves a meaningful measured behavior or data reliability.
- Verify the implementation, then review the relevant KPI and category score.
What the result can establish
SharkBlade’s Web Analytics category and Intelligence assessment should agree for the same current evidence. Monthly reporting schedules remain a separate review cadence. A better score does not by itself establish more customers or validate every tracking assumption.
