Capabilities need application context and an RFQ path
Make technical capabilities discoverable through applications buyers recognize and credible supporting detail. A list of equipment or disciplines may not explain whether the firm can solve a particular project problem.
Engineering buyers may need to understand whether a firm can address a specific application, constraint or evaluation requirement. A list of capabilities without scope can leave that question unanswered. Use approved technical facts rather than invented performance claims.
A worked example
A hypothetical firm publishes analysis capabilities but does not explain what inputs are required to assess a project. A practical guide can list initial evaluation needs and route confidential drawings through an approved process.
How to apply it
- Verify disciplines, applications and limitations with qualified reviewers.
- Connect technical guides to the relevant capability page.
- Test a preliminary inquiry and a detailed RFQ path separately.
What the result can establish
Track application-relevant inquiries and the completeness of initial requests. Traffic from students or unrelated technical queries is not automatically project demand. Avoid publishing protected specifications or client evidence without permission.
