Public discovery and connected measurement answer different questions
An audit establishes a starting view from available evidence; ongoing intelligence follows comparable performance over time. A one-time public review does not replace authenticated campaign or conversion reporting.
A public audit can inspect accessible pages, search evidence and visible competitive context without a prospect granting account access. It cannot establish every private conversion, advertising cost or sales outcome. Ongoing intelligence adds supported connected evidence and repeatable reporting, rather than turning the initial public snapshot into a complete operational history.
A worked example
A hypothetical audit finds a broken contact link and unclear service descriptions. Those findings are actionable without Analytics access. After onboarding, connected evidence may show how relevant visits and captured inquiries change. The public finding and later measurement are related, but the audit alone did not establish the number of lost customers.
How to apply it
- List which observations were available publicly and when they were collected.
- Identify which business questions require account-level or downstream evidence.
- Use connected reporting to test agreed improvements while preserving the original audit scope.
What the result can establish
ZeroDark’s existing Digital Visibility Audit is the discovery offer; SharkBlade supports ongoing intelligence. Keep those boundaries explicit in proposals. A public readiness check should not be presented as proof of actual AI-answer inclusion or private campaign profitability.
