Industry pages establish fit; guides resolve a question
Use industry pages for the relevant offer and blog posts for focused problems that buyers in that industry face. A generic industry rewrite can duplicate the sales page while adding little practical detail.
An industry page should explain how an offer applies to a particular operating context. A blog guide can explore a narrower problem or evaluation method. If both pages repeat the same generic service description, the distinction has not been earned.
A worked example
A hypothetical manufacturing page explains capability evaluation, RFQ paths and reporting needs. A supporting guide works through RFQ form friction. The guide links back when a reader needs implementation help, while the industry page does not reproduce the entire tutorial.
How to apply it
- Define the industry-specific constraints and the commercial next step.
- Assign each guide a question too narrow to carry the whole industry offer.
- Review examples for approved facts rather than invented industry experience.
What the result can establish
Track relevant destinations and inquiry fit. Do not create an industry page solely because a label can be substituted into a template. Where there is no distinct offer or useful explanation, a clear broader page may serve readers better.
