A standalone answer needs its subject and limits
State the answer directly, then explain scope, reasoning and a concrete example. A paragraph that relies on vague pronouns or surrounding marketing copy is harder to interpret independently.
A clear answer identifies what it refers to, gives the useful explanation and states important conditions. It should remain understandable when encountered outside the full page. That does not mean stripping away qualifications to create an absolute sentence.
A worked example
A hypothetical sentence says it always improves performance. The reader cannot identify the action or the measure. A better answer explains that validating form success improves measurement reliability, while any change in actual inquiry volume requires separate evidence.
How to apply it
- Name the subject and answer the specific question early.
- Define unfamiliar terms and show assumptions in calculations.
- Keep the evidence or limitation close enough to prevent a misleading excerpt.
What the result can establish
Write for a reader first. Extractable phrasing is not a guarantee of retrieval, citation or accurate summarization. Review whether a shortened passage would still convey the intended claim honestly.
